Album Launch Prep

So I've been very busy over the last month, New Album 'Redirect This Affect' has been sent over to The very skilful Peter Maher of 'Top Floor Production' based in London to be mastered-very very excited to hear the tracks in their full glory!

A massive thanks to Steven Fearnley of Narrow Water Studios for all the work recording and mixing the Album.

My artwork is also near completion--learning as I go- big thanks to John McShane for the photo.

We are back into rehearsals over the next months to prepare for The Album Launch more details to be confirmed.

So many people have been involved not just in the making of this album but in continued support & guidance, I cannot thank everyone enough-including :

Brian Willoughby who is featuring on album alongside Cathryn Craig on backing vocals -I am so blessed to have them perform on this Album.

Brian has played lead guitar with progressive folk/rock band Strawbs, Beatles protégée Mary Hopkin, American rockabilly artist Nanci Griffith, gold-album-winning Punk Rockers The Monks, British icon Joe Brown, Kenyan international entertainer Roger Whittaker, Scottish pop star Jim Diamond and TV and Film comedy team Monty Python.

American singer-songwriter Cathryn Craig an incredible singer songwriter & performer in her own right has worked with Chet Atkins, The Righteous Brothers and Garth Brooks, Brian & his Wife Cathryn Craig have released seven albums of their own material and they co-wrote "Alice's Song", a BBC Radio Highlight of the Year, which was also recorded by Strawbs and adopted by The National Autistic Society as their theme tune for Autism Awareness. The Telegraph named the duo as its "Folk Gig Pick" of the year and Folking.com nominated Cathryn and Brian in their “Best Duo” category. Brian recently released "Twiddly Bits", featuring nineteen of his instrumental compositions on electric and acoustic guitar. www.craigandwilloughby.com

Thanks also to The Stunning Benita Hill from Nashville with whom I co-wrote track-Never in my Lifetime whilst I was in Nashville as part of the Pan Arts/Arts council NI trip.

Benita spent her early years on stage as a back-up singer, touring with seminal acts such as the Allman Brothers, J.J. Cale and Conway Twitty. Fun and formative years that lit the fire for a solo career that still burns brightly today, Benita moved to Nashville in 1979, to be closer to the community here and develop her songwriting ability. After writing for major publishing companies and landing an artist deal with Polygram Records, Benita worked as a background singer for likes of Waylon Jennings, Charlie Daniels and Ben Fold moved on to her own more jazz-oriented shows and started seriously honing her song writing skills, and taking ownership of her publishing. Benita has had her share of ups and downs - but has also had privilege of collaborating with jazz legends like Kirk Whalum, and Isaac Hayes, and has written songs for Christal Gayle and Garth Brooks, including the #1 single "Two Pina Coladas".

Myself and Benita worked on a song idea I had 'Never in my Lifetime' a song that outlines the state of our beautiful planet and Humanity or lack thereof !  Benita has a wonderful insight into lyric writing and 2 hours later a song was in the making, a charming Friendly Lady who gave up her time so freely, I do hope our paths will meet sometime again in the future.
